I'm very happy about the overall reception of my latest project. I received many questions and read a lot of cool old-time stories. I did not expect such wonderful reaction :)

It was my first project/article that was shared on Hacker News and got to the front page! Hack-a-day write about it. It got hot on Mastodon. Overall people like the idea and my detailed tutorial.

Hackers started to test my distribution on their own hardware. I grab those reports and put them here for comparison. We got a range of notebooks starting from 1997!

If you want to share your custom-build version (or just boot my own image) please send me the photo and info to kj@p1x.in.

Failed Attempts

Thanks to Adam Dawson we found out the limits of FLOPPINUX distribution. He uses 5.25" floppy on his 486DX2. It boots but crashes on the away. Big thanks for testing it on such wonderful PC!
